Why are there no expiration dates on Derma products?

European cosmetics regulations have determined that shelf life refers to more than 30 months. On cosmetics products, that eliminates the need for an expiration date.

After repeated tests over several years, we found that unopened sun care products from Derma will last for over 30 months. And therefore they do have an expiration date.

One exception is the Derma Eco Baby Sun Screen SPF 30, which is certified as organic by Ecocert and contains organic ingredients that results in a shelf life of less than 30 months.

There will, of course, continue to be batch numbers on products for traceability and other indicators as to the expiration date of a product after opening.
