How long can sun screen last?

Once opened, your sun screen has a shelf life of 12 months. Heat can ruin the effect of your sun screen. For example, if you leave it in the car on a hot summer day or exposed to direct sunlight on the beach. This applies to all sun care products regardless of whether they are open or not.

Throw out your sun screen if it:

• Has been contaminated, for example, with sand
• Changes colour
• Smells bad
• Changes in consistency, i.e. the lotion starts to separate
