What is the role of dyes in skin care products?

Dyes are often used to camouflage products so as to make them look more appealing. They have no function regarding the care or treatment of skin and are redundant. Substances with no function are also referred to as product make-up and they are prohibited in skin care products that carry labels from AllergyCertified or Asthma Allergy Nordic. Consequently, there are no such product make-ups in any Derma products.
