What role does palm oil play in skin care products?

A certain portion of the oil used in skin care products is palm oil.

In recent years, it has emerged that palm oil cultivated on a large scale, for example in the production of food and cosmetics, often takes place in tropical forests – parts of nature which are wild and should be kept intact. From our perspective, this is totally unacceptable.

At Derma, we have come a long way in our work to identify manufacturers who can supply certified raw materials – namely raw materials that a third party has verified. To ensure that the palm oil in our products comes from a responsible production.

Our goal is that all palm oil and palm kernel oil in Derma products come from certified sustainable sources by the end of 2020.
