What are natural ingredients when it comes to skin care?

There is no official definition of “natural” when we talk about ingredients in skin care products.

The vast majority of ingredients may be designated as natural, so it is actually easier to define what is NOT natural.

Derma uses a common and universally accepted definition stipulating that everything derived from crude oil (so-called petrochemical origins) should be referred to as synthetic. Namely not natural.

Many natural ingredients are beneficial in cosmetics, but they are no guarantee in terms of your health just because they are natural. For example, one of the most allergenic fragrances comes from nature: the oak moss plant.

All the ingredients in Derma products (both natural and non-natural) are evaluated by independent experts from the labels we work with – the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, AllergyCertified, Asthma Allergy Nordic, Ecocert/COSMOS and The Vegan Society. Consequently, you are guaranteed a product that is gentle both to your health – and the environment.
